Chapter 6: City of Fiends

Ah, back to our old ninja antics. Your goal for this stage is to reach the monastery where we saw Rachel kicking ass at just a stage ago. But right now, we're at the bar. Use the nearby save point and loot the treasure chest, then start making your way down and out of this building. Along the way, you'll see various other treasures and healing items scattered about. There are also a few maps of this area on walls on tables - examine them all to add them to your info. There are a few soldiers in here who will become mincemeat at the chop of your mighty blade. (Or staff, as the case may be.)

Outside are some more of those motor-troopers. Take them out as you did before, then start backtracking towards the alleyway where you saw the lily door. As you walk along, you will notice a kunai nearby describing a hidden weapon in a place where only ninja can reach. Said weapon happens to be down the nearby alleyway. How very convenient! What you need to do to get this item is run along the blue-lined sections of the walls, jumping across when necessary to maintain your momentum and continue forth. At the end, simply jump off the wall onto a high platform. Here, you'll find a Team Ninja plaque that will restore your health and ninpo along with a great projectile weapon, the Windmill Shuriken! This item will prove very useful for doing distance damage without expending arrows. Make good use of it. (Also, you can stop back and touch the Team Ninja plaque anytime for full health restoration. Cool, huh?) Drop down and head back, picking up a lonely little Golden Scarab along the way.

When you reach the lily door, save your game at the dragon statue, then open it up and walk into the small alley. Cut down the enemies here, continue down the alley then do a multi-wall-run to reach a treasure chest on the ledge a ways away. Return to the alleyway parth and make your way to the Moat Road. Black Spider Ninjas are waiting for you here, so do what you need to in order to get rid of them quickly and efficiently. Proceed along the path to find a locked door with a pegasus symbol on it and a small room with some stairs and a dragon statue. Save, then climb up the stairs to reach Drawbridge Square.

More riders await here to torment you as you try to proceed. You'll need to hack them up before you can do anything else. After they're good and gone, pop through the small gate with the blue jewel on it. More soldiers here, killthem off, etc. etc. There's a chest containing the Pegasus Key lying about in this alley, so be sure to pick it up. There's also a Golden Scarab on a ledge nearby - you'll need to do a continuous wall run to reach it.

Backtrack a good ways back to the drawbridge. Cross it to reach Drawbridge Hill. You'll find a save point, a Golden Scarab and a group of murderous Black Spider Ninjas waiting here for you. Use one to save, add another to your inventory and stab the hell out of the rest. There's a fork in the road here, as well. At the end of the right path lies some treasures (including another Golden Scarab - be sure to scour the crevices well to find it!). The left path leads to the Monastery and gives us a Muramasa statue (stock up here), a few treasure chests with restorative items stored in back alleys (open these) and a bunch of enemy soldiers and ninjas (chop these up).

At the end of the road lies the Monastery Inner Clearing.
