Ninja Gaiden Sigma guide

You’ve got a rather tricky mini-boss here: an armored tank. The only way you’re going to be able to do any real damage to this thing is using your APFSDS Cores and Explosive Arrows. (There are supplies nearby, so take advantage of them.) It’s surprisingly easy to not pay attention to the tank’s main gun as you’re launching your arrows at it, but you’ll definitely want to make it a priority. One the cannon points at you, it’s going to cough up a blast that can do a good deal of damage. Stop firing and focus on dodging as soon as you see the gun set its sights on you. Don’t rest easy after you’ve taken this tank out, either – it’s brought a friend! Take it down the same way, and keep an eye on your health throughout.

Afterwards, search the area to find an elevator leading upwards, but don’t climb in yet. Head towards the back gates and go all the way around them to the end of this area to find another Team Ninja logo. Examining it will restore your health and Ninpo, so it definitely shouldn’t be missed. Now you can go back to the elevator and take it back upwards. Be sure to stop and save at the Dragon Statue!

There are a few soldiers on this narrow bridge, and with the limited space you have, it can be a hassle to take them out, but you’ll want to do so. As you proceed along, you’ll see another helicopter flying closeby – except this one has its sights set directly on you! Looks like you’ve got another boss fight on your hands.

There are crates in this area that will refill APFSDS Cores and Explosive Arrows, which you’ll need in order to damage the helicopter. Aiming at the helicopter, however, is much easier said than done. You’ve almost always got a barrage of projectiles headed at you, making it tough to stop and aim at the thing. We suggest simply dodging and guarding against the helicopter’s attacks until it flies underneath the platform. As it slowly rises up, you’ll have valuable time with which to hit it with repeated arrow blasts at very close range. Do so until it begins firing missiles again, then roll and jump out of their way. Lather, rinse, repeat until you’ve clipped the helicopter’s wings.

There’s one more challenge left now: the Radio Control Tower that is the crux of the military’s operations. Continue down the walkway to find a Muramasa statue and some treasure. There’s an enclosed vertical passageway nearby that you can do a repeated wall-jump in. Another Golden Scarab lies in wait for you at the top. You may want to backtrack to the Save Point at the other end of the walkway now and record your progress, since this next area can often prove pretty challenging. When you’re ready, go through the door near where you found the Golden Scarab.

Your objective in this area is to eliminate the satellite receivers at the Radio Control Tower you see across from you. To do this, you’ll need to use those explosive projectiles you’ve been making good use of throughout this stage. Complicating matters are the soldiers patrolling the area. Eliminate all of the armored ground troops, then turn your attention towards the Tower. You’ll need to blast each receiver you see with a projectile until you’ve destroyed all nine of them. Soldiers at the Tower, meanwhile, will be returning fire with damaging shots of their own. You can either take out the soldiers before going for the receivers, or you can ignore them and try to dodge while you aim for your targets. Either way, you’ve got another arrow supply lying nearby, so don’t fret about running out over the course of this firefight. You’re in the clear now!

Well, almost. You’ve still got a few soldiers you’ll need to kill and a locked door to clear before you can finally escape. The locked door in particular can be a bit tricky – you’ll actually need to backtrack a ways after discovering the locked door to find a group of enemy soldiers that has respawned. Kill them off to collect the Control Room Key, and don’t forget to examine under the stairs near the exit to find a Life of the Gods!
