New Super Mario Bros. U Luigi DLC is the size of a full game
The other brother gets a whole new game of his own
Some of the most exciting news out of today's 3DS-focused Nintendo Direct presentations doesn't relate to Nintendo's handheld at all. Rather, it seems that Nintendo's home console DLC plans have stepped up a gear, with the announcement of New Super Luigi U for New Super Mario Bros. U.
The goliath DLC removes Mario from the equation, bringing the other brother in as hero with his own set of levels to explore. The most impressive part of this news is that the DLC will replace each and every one of the more than 80 levels on the New Super Mario Bros. U map with a new one, making this add-on near enough the equivalent of a whole new game. The player will be able to switch between the game's original content and the New Super Luigi U. DLC at will.
Details on the release date and pricing for the New Super Luigi U. DLC will be on the site as soon as they emerge.
