New PSone options in PSP firmware update

PSP firmware version 3.95, released today, bringing with it tweaks to the console's Remote Play and PSone gameplay functionality.

Once updated, you will find the option to fully customise the controls when playing PSone games on your portable.

"You can now customise how the buttons are assigned by going to [Controller Settings] > [Assign Buttons] and select [Custom]," details PSN operations director, Eric Lempel.

The update also adds the ability to quit Remote Play mode with your PS3 without having to turn the PS3 off.

As Lempel says: "This is useful if you are performing a download and want to quit Remote Play, but still want your download to continue on the PS3.

"Select [Quit and Turn Off the PS3 System] or [Quit Without Turning Off the PS3 System] from [Quit Remote Play] when you press the HOME button on the PSP system."

You can download the update wirelessly via your PSP's System Update option.
