You wait for news on Die Hard 4 (well, one or two of us here were anyway!) and then two come along in one week. Yippee-Kay-Yay!
Helmer Len Wiseman (Underworld) has confirmed that the fourth instalment of John McClane’s adventures will be called Live Free Or Die Hard and won’t be starring any of the New York cop’s former cast-mates.
With shooting set to begin next month, the movie is set for a 4 July weekend release stateside, going up against Michael Bay’s Transformers flick.
As we’ve already told you, the film is based around Bruce Willis’ much-loved deadbeat cop as he battles with internet terrorists, intent on shutting the US down one step at a time.
“Our villain is high tech, but the way McClane deals with him is low-tech," Wiseman told USA Today. “A fistfight still solves a lot of problems. This will be a more epic movie. It's on a much grander scale. The threat is nationwide.”
Time to get that white vest out of the loft… it should be ready to wear by next July.
