Jetpac Refuelled coming to Live

This Wednesday the newest addition to the ever-growing Xbox Live Arcade collection will be available to download. Jetpac Refuelled is a remake of the classic 80s arcade game Jetpac, but to make it extra-explosive, Rare has added some special ingredients to fuel the fire.

As a galactic rocket test pilot you'll have a difficult job ahead of you. Don't worry about the astrophysics involved -those little details have been taken care of by Rare. You will be more focused on blasting a path through 128 hi-def levels of berserk aliens trying to gobble you up before you can refuel your ship. To help stop the alien hordes your little space engineer will be equipped with a host of modernized weapons, new spiffy looking EMP smartbombs and, of course, a trusty jetpack.

For those who shy away from things that were created after the 80s (sometimes we feel the same way), the download will also come equipped with a Retro gameplay mode featuring the classic version of Jetpac. You'll be able to play solo or with a friend in either mode, andcompete for cash by vaporizing alien beasties.

Jetpac Refuelled will be available on Xbox Live Arcade for 400 Microsoft points beginning March 28. It is rated "E" for Everyone. To preview of the classic alien blasting gameplay check out the video below or the screenshots by clicking on the Images tab above.
