"Done deal...Jamie Foxx is in."
A Tweet from screenwriter Kyle Ward (that has since been removed from his account) revealed that Jamie Foxx will indeed star alongside Bruce Willis in the upcoming Kane & Lynch film.
Videogame to movie adaptations pretty much never go over well with fans. In the case of Kane & Lynch, though, you'd be hard-pressed to find an actual gamer who would admit to being a fan. So internet chatter about how Hollywood is ruining a great game should be minimal. All snark aside, the title sold well over a million copies on the back of a massive mainstream marketing spend, proving once and for all that internet chatter (and game reviews, for that matter) can't sink a slick ad campaign. So will the same easy-to-please folks who slurped up the game dutifully march to the box office for a Willis/Foxx explodaganza? The whole package certainly looks good on paper. Our suggestion? Wait for Jeff Gerstmann's review before you line up for tickets. From what we hear, his opinion cannot be bought.
Update: The Hollywood Reporter reports that Willis is playing Kane and Foxx is playing Lynch. So nevermind about the fisticuffs (for now).
