Having barely finished his publicity duties for The Wolverine , Hugh Jackman is talking up the X-Men universe once more, waxing lyrical about what we can expect from Days Of Future Past .
“I know, having sat at Comic-Con on that panel with that extraordinary cast,” begins Jackman, “I keep saying it’s like two movies in one, but with the size of it it’s really three in one.”
It’s that size that has some people worried there will be too many characters for just the one film, but Jackman is confident that Bryan Singer is the man to balance all those spinning plates.
“It really is going to blow people away because of the story,” says Jackman. “Bryan Singer, I think, is going to become the first director to make increasingly better movies in a franchise. I’m not sure if there’s anyone else that’s done it.”
Directed by Singer and co-starring Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy and Jennifer Lawrence, X-Men: Days Of Future Past will open in the UK on 22 May 2014.
