With Game of Thrones now racing ahead of the A World of Ice and Fire books, season 7 will be packed with surprises for show and novel devotees alike. But one thing we do know for sure is that Jorah Mormont is absolutely, definitely dying from greyscale.
Except, er, maybe Jorah Mormont isn't dying from greyscale. Maybe he's miraculously cured the apparently incurable.

The above image of Ian Glen as Mormont was taken during filming in Spain, and if you look closely at Jorah's hand there's no sign of the disease which has affected him since being ambushed by stone men in season 5. Perhaps the effect will be added on in post-production, but that seems a much more complex procedure than using an on-set make-up crew to create the desired (or rather, undesired) affliction.
There's then the factor of his love for Daenerys. Scenes currently being shot in Zumaia also feature Dany, Jon Snow, and Tyrion, suggesting Jorah has been reunited with his unrequited love interest after she dispatched him to find a cure at the climax of season 6.
Has he done exactly that? And if so, from where? Those two questions suddenly loom huge, and make the wait for next summer's premiere all the more agonising.
Game of Thrones season 7 will debut in summer 2017.

I'm GamesRadar's sports editor, and obsessed with NFL, WWE, MLB, AEW, and occasionally things that don't have a three-letter acronym – such as Chvrches, Bill Bryson, and Streets Of Rage 4. (All the Streets Of Rage games, actually.) Even after three decades I still have a soft spot for Euro Boss on the Amstrad CPC 464+.
