Greedy Lying Bastards review

A documentary looking for the people covering up environmental crises

Where financial-meltdown doc Inside Job identified the scumbags that robbed the world, Craig Scott Rosebraugh’s film points to those who are choking it with greenhouse gas. It’s strikingly similar, right down to the funky graphics that make clear the flow of cash into the eponymous bastards pockets.

There’s a focus on the flimsy arguments spouted by those who are profiting by “selling doubt”, and there’s no question of Rosebraugh’s conviction, but there’s a sense that he’s preaching to the converted in a manner that’s unlikely to reach the crossover audience of An Inconvenient Truth .
