Yesterday, we were teased with a poster for Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance . Now the trailer has blazed online.
Ghost Rider's first outing was execrable tosh, but hope was reborn for the reboot/follow-up when Crank directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor took the helm.
The trailer debuted on iTunes, and while you might initially fear it's going to be a footage-light tease, it soon rips into the gloriously OTT action with which the directors made their reputation.
Ghost Rider is looking much more badass this time round, with Cage playing Johnny Blaze and his flame-skulled counterpart.
One the biggest disappointments with the first outing was Cage playing it stolidly straight (which was always going to be difficult given the awful wig he was sporting).
As well as Cage cutting loose, the key selling point here seems to be the action sequences, with the firebrand antihero making impressive use of his chain whip, and pushing his flaming ride to the limit.
Oh, and in case you were worried that this might lack a sense of humour again, we finally get the answer to the age old question: what happens when Ghost Rider needs to pee?
Check out the trailer now:
There's little in terms of plot (apparently this ain't no direct sequel), but, frankly, who cares? If the film's as much frantic fun as the trailer, count us in!
Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance opens on 22 February 2012.
