If you're looking for information on how to access Gears 5 unlockable characters, then you're probably wondering how to get Batista in Gears 5 or have seen another well known character from another franchise that's caught your eye while playing online. There are a number of different unlockable characters available for use in the multiplayer component of Gears 5 to use in multiplayer, including Dave Batista from the WWE alongside iconic figures from the worlds of both Halo and Terminator. Here's a round up of all the Gears 5 unlockable characters, and how to get them.
Gears 5 tips | Gears 5 components | Gears 5 Relic Weapons | Gears 5 Scavengers | Gears 5 Lost Outsiders | Gears 5 Hollow Storm
Gears 5 unlockable characters: Emile & Kat - Halo: Reach
First up in the list of Gears 5 unlockable characters are Emile and Kat from 2010's Halo: Reach. The pair made other appearances in the PC releases for the Halo games, along with showing up in the Halo: Master Chief Collection, and now you can play as them in Gears 5 too.
Initially, both Emile and Kat were playable as long as you're an Xbox Game Pass subscriber, or if you pre-ordered the Gears 5 Ultimate Edition. If you don't have access through those routes, you can now purchase them through the Gears 5 Ultimate Add-On DLC pack.
Gears 5 unlockable characters: T-800 and Sarah Connor - Terminator: Dark Fate
Both Sarah Connor and T-800 are recurring characters in the Terminator series, and they're also playable in Gears 5, although of course they're on opposite factions. Initially to play as either Sarah Connor or T-800, you needed to pre-order any version of Gears 5, although they are now available to purchase via the Terminator Dark Fate Pack – Sarah Connor and T-800 DLC pack.
Gears 5 unlockable characters: Rev-9 and Grace - Terminator: Dark Fate
Grace and Rev-9 are two new characters for the Terminator series, making their first appearance in Terminator Dark Fate, and as with Sarah Connor and T-800 they again represent opposite factions. To access them, you need to purchase the Terminator Dark Fate Pack – Grace and Rev-9 DLC pack.
Gears 5 unlockable characters: Batista - WWE
The final Gears 5 unlockable character is Dave "Batista" Bautista, a wrestler in the WWE. Famous for his "Batista Bomb" move which involves bringing the other person above his head then ploughing them into the ground on their back, Batista is now available in Gears 5 and can be accessed via character customization unsurprisingly as 'Batista'. As a skin he only works with Marcus Fenix though, so don't forget that if you want him in the game.

Give me a game and I will write every "how to" I possibly can or die trying. When I'm not knee-deep in a game to write guides on, you'll find me hurtling round the track in F1, flinging balls on my phone in Pokemon Go, pretending to know what I'm doing in Football Manager, or clicking on heads in Valorant.
