A new Xbox Partner Preview showcase will air Thursday, March 26 at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 5pm GMT, Microsoft announced today.
This week's showcase will feature "updates from" a range of games, including Stalker 2, first released in November 2024; The Expanse: Osiris Reborn, a Mass Effect-shaped RPG from CRPG powerhouse Owlcat; and the next game from Yakuza studio Ryu Ga Gotoku, dubbed Stranger Than Heaven and looking remarkably Yakuza-like.
Microsoft says "more" games will also appear during the showcase, though a short teaser video released today only includes these three.
We don't have release dates for Stranger Than Heaven or The Expanse: Osiris Reborn just yet, nor even broad launch windows. Both games are still in fairly formative stages, though we do have something to go on.
The Expanse: Osiris Reborn is, you may have deduced, set in The Expanse universe, which it shares with the titular Syfy-born TV series. The Steam description for this "third-person action RPG" reads: "Trapped in a deadly lockdown and drawn into a solar system-wide conspiracy far beyond your control, you’ll have to adapt, survive, taking command of the most advanced ship in the whole of the solar system."
Stranger Than Heaven, initially called Project Century, exists in our universe, where Ryu Ga Gotoku can't make anything except Yakuza games and Yakuza games wearing unconvincing mustache disguises. It's a gritty Japanese period piece where street brawls are won by the fighter capable of the most inventive violence, and the fact it's set in the 20th century can't hide the Yakuza shine.
Here are all the big upcoming Xbox Series X games for 2026 and beyond.
