Switch 2 Star Fox pre-orders are cheaper than I thought, but I'm prepared to pay full price to snag that cosplay-friendly bonus
Switch 2 Star Fox launches on June 25
Fox McCloud, Falco, Peppy, and Slippy are finally back, and I'm already practicing my barrel rolls in anticipation. Nintendo announced during a quick Direct showcase that Team Star Fox is returning in the aptly named Star Fox on June 25, 2026, a remake of the classic Star Fox 64 (also known as Lylat Wars here in the UK) exclusively on the Nintendo Switch 2.
Star Fox pre-orders were quick to make a landing and are up for grabs for $49.94 (Amazon) / £44.99 (Very) at a wealth of US and UK retailers. The Switch 2 exclusive has an $59.99 / £49.99 MSRP, so the prices are already pretty decent all things considered. Yet much in the way that ROB 64 provides you with some handy supplies in the original N64 game, Nintendo has got some goodies up for grabs of its own if you're based in the UK. Picking up your Star Fox pre-order for £59.99 at Nintendo instead will grant you a set of snazzy pins and a velcro patch that would make for a perfect addition to any Star Fox cosplay - Peppy Hare gijinka here I come.
The Team Star Fox goodies have yet to make an appearance in the US. However, retailers have been known to reveal these closer to release, and there are still a few months to go until the game prepares for takeoff. So you can prepare to take down Andross again, I've scoured the web for the best Star Fox pre-order US and UK deals down below. Good luck.
Star Fox US Pre-orders
Star Fox | $49.94 at Amazon
Amazon has been crushing it with Switch 2 pre-order prices lately, as plenty of new releases have launched at discounted prices. Star Fox is the latest of these pre-launch deals, as adding the game to your cart will reveal its only $49.95, a saving of $10 off its full $59.99 MSRP.
Star Fox | $59.99 at Best Buy
If you prefer to get all your new game shopping done at Best Buy, Star Fox pre-orders are available right now. You'll have to pay its full $59.99 price, but Best Buy is your best bet if you want to get playing on (or shortly after) release day.
Star Fox | $59.99 at GameStop
GameStop was quick to list its Star Fox pre-orders, and you can secure your copy now for $59.99 at the US retailer. Just be aware that like most game pre-orders at GameStop, it can take between 2 to 3 days for your copy to arrive at your door.
Star Fox | $59.99 at Nintendo
If you prefer to grab your games straight from the source, you can grab your Star Fox pre-order for $59.99 at the Nintendo online store. There's no bonus fits available like in the UK, but Nintendo is pretty reliable at ensuring your copy will arrive as close to release day as possible.
Star Fox UK Pre-orders
Star Fox | £49.99 at Nintendo
Star Fox pre-orders dropped first at the official UK Nintendo store, and you can grab your copy now for its full £49.99 price, or save £8 with a digital copy. Whichever version you go for will grant you a set of bonus gifts, including a Star Fox pin set and a velcro patch, because why not?
Star Fox | £44.99 at Very
Very has yet again proved itself to be one of the best places for new Switch 2 game pre-orders, as you can pre-order Star Fox on the Nintendo Switch 2 for only £44.99 at the UK retailer - the lowest price I've spotted for the game so far. It doesn't include the UK bonus gifts, but that does at least mean you're saving £5 off its full MSRP - - yippiee!
Star Fox | £49.95 at TheGameCollection
TheGameCollection is always pretty quick to drop their Switch 2 pre-orders, so it wasn't a surprise to see Star Fox make an appearance so quickly. You can secure your copy of the game and save 5p in the process, which isn't a lot in the grand scheme of things, but it's better than nothing.
Star Fox | Check stock at Amazon
The listing for Star Fox on the Nintendo Switch 2 is available at Amazon but it's not currently set up for pre-orders. Instead, you can just find a "currently unavailable" label in lieu of any price info, but the second this clears up, I'll be sure to upgrade this page and let you know.
Star Fox | Check stock at Argos
Argos usually takes a few days and even weeks before brand new Switch 2 game pre-orders make an appearance, and Star Fox is no different. However as soon as the new game comes into orbit, I'll make sure to update this page.

Weekly digests, tales from the communities you love, and more

Ever since I first held a NES controller in my hand I've been obsessed with gaming, and the hardware it runs on. I could hook up a NES and SNES to a telly, without instructions, before I could walk. Even now, nothing is more exciting then taking a console, or handheld, out the box for the first time and setting it up. This obsession transformed into a love of games and game music, which lead to my music degree and dream of becoming the Scottish Nobuo Uematsu. After sharing my love of games through music, I began to share my love through words on sites like TechRadar and iMore. This lead to becoming a Hardware staff writer for PCGamesN, and later the Senior Tech Writer for Dexerto, covering all things Steam Deck, PlayStation and Nintendo. With that experience, I was able to level up as Hardware Editor for GamesRadar+, where I'm still just as Nintendo, PlayStation and gaming tech obsessed as ever.
