You may have noticed that things have been looking a little different around here recently. No, I'm not just talking about the GamesRadar+ website redesign that we launched last week – which we built to help you connect with the content you came to us looking for, faster than ever before. Our regular GR+ readers may have noticed that we've been making steady improvements in recent months.
We shifted away from a Disqus-based commenting system, replacing it with a fast, easy-to-use platform powered by Viafoura. We also introduced quizzes, polls, and other interactive games through a platform powered by our friends at Kwizly – designed to help give you more ways to make your voices heard, collaborate with other readers, and interact with the GamesRadar+ team. And we introduced more weekly Newsletters, bringing the biggest trending stories straight to your inbox.
Today, I am excited to announce that the GamesRadar+ Community is evolving. While we are very proud of what we were offering you, we recognize that it was frustrating to have different sign-up offerings across different services. Starting today, we have introduced a free membership platform designed to unify everything we're doing.
If you join the GamesRadar+ Community today, you'll be able to:
- Comment on articles and make your voice heard
- Participate in quizzes, polls, and other interactive games
- Earn badges for reading articles, commenting, and interacting
- Manage which of our Newsletters you want access to each week
- Manage your subscriptions to magazines like Edge and Retro Gamer
You should think about this as a foundation for the future. We love the ability to earn badges for reading articles and sharing your thoughts on them, and soon you'll be able to compare and contrast with other members of the GamesRadar+ Community. In the future we will offer Member Exclusive articles, curated gaming deals, competitions, and so much more.
I want to stress that we are not introducing a paywall, nor do we have any current plans to introduce premium membership tiers at this time. The GamesRadar+ Community is free to join, and all are welcome.
We want this to be a space where you are rewarded for reading and commenting, where you feel comfortable making your voice heard and sharing your passion with other readers. We want GamesRadar+ to be a place where you can discover new games to play, movies to stream, and shows to watch. We are building GR+ to be a space where you can dive deeper into the video games and entertainment you are the most passionate about, and find a like-minded community that's ready to share that enthusiasm and excitement with you.
Join the GamesRadar+ Community today, we are happy to have you with us.
Get more from GamesRadar+ by signing up for one of our weekly newsletters. And don't forget to follow us on your social platform of choice – we can be found on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and YouTube.
