Season 3 of Killing Floor 3 is out now, and you can wield Wolverine claws in an icy hellscape
Plus, a classic trench shotgun!
It's a day for threes, as Season 3 of Killing Floor 3 is out now, an update bringing new content, maps, and weapons, including a pair of bladed gloves that the game calls Tekko Kagi, but that I and everybody else are clearly going to refer to as "Wolverine claws."
The reveal trailer for "Operation: Deep Freeze" was shown off at the Future Games Show's Spring Showcase Powered by HyperX, a minute or so of pure carnage that showed off all manner of new elements, including the claws, a classic trench shotgun that can bisect a drooling horror with a single well-aimed blast, and a new Antarctic Base that could've been straight out of The Thing.

The new map appears particularly labyrinthine to the point of being something of a deathmaze, but it makes it clear that's something that can work to your advantage, as we see laser security systems cutting down enemies as they try to pass through them (though I doubt humans will fare much better).
Not only that, but there's at least two new enemies shown off, the Scavenger and bigger Alpha Scavenger, the latter of which is given plenty of time in the spotlight to freak out players. It's some sort of spiny, four-legged thing that... Look, it's hard to describe, but needless to say it's the sort of monstrosity that clearly needs to be put down fast, especially when we see it tossing players around.
If all this horror sounds interesting to you, Season 3: Operation Deep Freeze is live right now for Killing Floor 3, which is playable on PC, Xbox Series X/S and PS5.
