Final Fantasy 14 fans celebrate a huge win: finally, we can kick Lalafells in the face and send them flying into the void

As the Final Fantasy 14 community prepares for patch 7.51 tomorrow and, of course, the new expansion Evercold arriving in January, Square Enix is updating the Mog Station with emotes – including one that has folks roleplaying all sorts of cartoonish violence.

The Mog Station, home to the MMO's paid online store (in which I have spent far too much money), recently saw the arrival of two new emotes: Blown Away and Overreact. Although both are admittedly silly – and perfect for those of us obsessed with gpose – the former is making for some very humorous RP moments and clips on social media.
What do these show, you may be wondering… and the answer is lots of Lalafell violence.

"Lala, run over and killed," one post so eloquently describes its attached footage. In it, we see Lalafells slapped to the ground dramatically thanks to the Blown Away emote, and, perhaps more literally, blown away by another Lalafell's chonky landing. "What a shockwave," the player behind the clips jokes.

There's more, too. Another fan jokes, "The potential of the new emote is insane," highlighting just how in their own video. We watch an Au'ra casually kick a little Lalafell down to the ground, with 0 regrets in sight.

Elsewhere, a separate thread shows more Lala-on-Lala action, with one popoto-shaped Warrior of Light slapping another silly. Both feature the Blown Away emote as the receiving party's movement of choice, which acts as the cherry on top of the amusing (and violent) cake.

Lalafells aren't the only characters being Blown Away, though.

A different compilation of clips proves as much, with its creator – a Miqo'te – being run over by mounts, fanned off into the wind, and zipped away by parasols… all thanks to the Blown Away emote.

In the best way possible, this is all too reminiscent of the recent obsession with Chort – we can always count on the Final Fantasy 14 community to eat up the most chaotic, hilarious parts of the MMO… and I'm so here for it, personally.
