The countdown to Star Wars: The Force Awakens has almost reached single digits (eek!), and incredibly there are still secrets which have yet to be discovered. Lupita Nyong'o's mysterious Maz Kanata ranks high in that regard; although her voice has featured prominently in trailers and TV spots the character has been kept largely under wraps, but now we finally have a glimpse of Kanata in a new Disney XD featurette.
Check it out below, and keep an eye out for her at the 15 second mark...
In addition to the above clip, a new international TV spot for The Force Awakens offers some exciting new footage, which includes some extended shots of John Boyega's Finn, as well as a look at Return of the Jedi’s Nien Nunb. The Sullustan X-Wing pilot was Lando Calrissian's righthand man during the big battle in Episode VI, and fans will be pleased to see that Mike Quinn is returning for the latest Star Wars outing.
Get ready to geek out when you spot him at the 17 second mark...
Directed by Abrams and starring Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Andy Serkis, Oscar Isaac and Gwendoline Christie, Star Wars: The Force Awakens is released in UK cinemas on December 17, 2015 before opening in US theatres a day later.
