VisionQuest showrunner Terry Matalas says he wouldn't rule out a second season of the upcoming Disney Plus show.
"I think that's up to the Marvel and Disney Gods," Matalas told The Direct. "It doesn't necessarily have to [stand on its own]. There is a group of characters in situations that are certainly on their own island, if you will. Trying to figure out how to say this... You could very much see these characters again, if you want."
Bettany starred as Vision, a 'synthezoid' built by the robot villain Ultron (played by James Spader), in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, and Avengers: Infinity War, before ultimately reprising the role in the Disney Plus series WandaVision.
You might recall that Vision died in Infinity War and was brought back to life twice: the first time via magic by his romantic partner Wanda Maximoff aka The Scarlet Witch, and the second as a real-life, rebuilt version that is colorless in appearance and has no memory of Wanda or his past. At the end of WandaVision, she restores the new Vision's memories and allows the magic Vision to fade away (and I'm tearing up a little just thinking about it).
The cast includes Todd Stashwick as Paladin, Emily Hampshire as the Tony Stark-run AI E.D.I.T.H, T'Nia Miller as Jocasta, and Ruaridh Mollica as Tommy Maximoff aka Speed, the latter of which is extremely exciting as his MCU debut was very subtly teased in the first WandaVision spin-off Agatha All Along.
VisionQuest is arriving on Disney Plus sometime in 2026. In the meantime, check out our guide to the other upcoming Marvel movies and shows on the way as part of Marvel Phase 6.
