Seth MacFarlane wants Ted season 3 or a live-action movie, but says it's up to Peacock "with their vast amounts of big Scrooge McDuck money"

Following the success of Ted season 2, Seth MacFarlane says he and the cast are ready for more... but that it's all up to the bird.

"It really is up to Peacock with their, you know, vast amounts of big Scrooge McDuck money that they dive into every day," MacFarlane told Deadline. "I think all of us, in some form or another, whether it's a Season 3 of Ted or a direct-to-Peacock feature with this cast, is something I think we'd all be up for. It's all on the table."

Ted, based on the 2012 live-action movie starring Mark Wahlberg, has proved to be one heck of a TV show. The series hit Peacock in 2024, which stars Max Burkeholder as a young version of Wahlberg's John Bennett, and sits at a 74% Critic score on Rotten Tomatoes... but season 2 has a perfect 100% and has amassed over 1.6 billion streaming minutes.

This is partly due to star Alanna Ubach's Susan Bennett, John's aloof, innocent, and mild-mannered stay-at-home mother. Since the season premiered, clips featuring Susan have gone viral across the internet, with many calling her one of the most underrated comic actresses of our time (and I wholeheartedly agree).

MacFarlane is also pretty busy with a Family Guy movie, and another season of sci-fi comedy The Orville (and singing Christmas songs with Liz Gillies every year), but, given the success of Ted season 2, I could see him taking some time out of his schedule to make something happen.
