Emily Blunt has locked in a deal to play Matt Damon’s mysterious love interest in the sci-fi thriller Adjustment Bureau.
Based on the Philip K. Dick short story Adjustment Team, the plot has Damon as a smarmy, smooth politician who suddenly finds his life barrelling out of control when he meets a strange ballerina (Blunt).
Bourne Ultimatum/Ocean’s Twelve writer George Nolfi is penning the adaptation and will step up to direct too.
If it follows the story at all, we'll expect parallels to be drawn with Dark City and The Truman Show.
Universal is splashing the cash to get the movie made and Nolfi will kick off shooting this September in New York.
