Def Jam Rapstar gets post-release Kinect patch

Because the Kinect camera poses such wildly different controls than the standard Xbox 360 controller, going to the console's back catalog of games to add Kinect support seems almost unthinkable. But that didn't stop 4mm Games from going back to its rap-karaoke game and injecting some Kinect love.

The fundamental gameplay of Def Jam Rapstar will remain unchanged. However, with the new Kinect patch, players will be able to record themselves as they sing along to their favorite Kanye West and Busta Rhymes tunes.

You'll be automatically prompted to download the patch the next time you pop in the game, andthere's a new menu item to turn on Kinect functionality.
