PlayStation players have had to wait for Call of Duty DLC leftovers for years, with new map packs regularly arriving about a month after they hit Xbox. Not any more: Sony announced its own exclusive deal to bring map packs first to PlayStation, starting with Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, at its E3 2015 press conference.
Black Ops 3's multiplayer gameplay beta will open first on PS4 in August, and speaking of multiplayer, Sony's conference also played host to Black Ops 3's multiplayer gameplay debut (another honor that formerly belonged to Microsoft) which you can watch below.
Speaking of multiplayer, Black Ops 3 is still way fast Call of Duty, though it looks like the new augmented abilities will have a pretty big impact on the way matches unfold. Players ran on walls Titanfall-style, launching arrows into heads as they soared across the map. Another move appeared to be some kind of warp or decoy move - either way, it ended with a combatant directly behind her former assailant in perfect headshot position.
And what's the point of being a cyborg if you can't turn your arm into a minigun? Fortunately, we'll never have to dwell on that bit of existential questioning, because you can totally turn your arm into a minigun.
