Blu-ray Holiday gift guide

It’s finally been long enough since Old School came out, and our dipshit friends finally stopped quoting, so we can actually once again view a funny movie. (Even if Jeremy Piven is totally wasted.)

Sure, you’ve got another great Vince Vaughn role, one that allows him to really stretch himself playing Vince Vaughn, but it’s also the least obnoxious you’ll ever see Will Ferrell. After seeing the dude as so many egotistical idiots, we had to marvel at exactly how well he comes offas an excitable, schlubby loser. Plus, who doesn’t love an excuse to show off a high-def picture of Elisha Cuthbert in her skivvies?

Super Troopers

Remember how badly you wanted to hate this movie from the commercials? Feel stupid now, don’tcha? Not just because you were incredibly wrong - it’s hilarious - but it led almost every male from 18 to 35 to remark, “Man, it’s like me and my friends made a movie.”

But you didn’t and the boys at Broken Lizard did, so let’s not hold grudges, even if this is approximately what would’ve occurred had you dropped any one of us into a sleepy-town State Trooper squad. It somehow turned words like “Shenanigans” and “Meow” into household terms again, and that’s got to count for something. Give it a watch - it’ll help you forget about Club Dread.

Bestest Bonus: A Blu-ray exclusive picture-in-picture commentary featuring the entire cast!
