George Washington the man was a respected leader and pioneer of American society. George Washington the killer robot, on the other hand, despises human life and prefers an afternoon of slaughtering over healthy political debate. Learn more about BioShock Infinite's so-called Motorized Patriot in Irrational Games' latest trailer:
The Motorized Patriot is one of the “Heavy Hitters” featured in BioShock Infinite. These are described as a class of enemies that – much like the underwater Big Daddy's of Rapture – will pose as challenging mini-bosses throughout Columbia. As depicted in the video, this particular mechanized foe will sport a creepy George Washington visage, a pair of US flags for wings, and a handy “pepper-mill” Gatling gun.
"Unlike most of the enemies, he’s completely fearless," Irrational's Ken Levine described to G4TV. "He doesn’t have a sense of self-preservation, so he’ll just keep coming at you and coming at you."
Levine further explained that “Heavy Hitters” like the Motorized Patriot represent an upgraded subset of BioShock Infinite's enemies, noting, "You’re going to come across them in certain areas of the game, and they’re going to provide a really unique challenge."
Irrational Games will be introducing more enemies from its upcoming sequel in the coming weeks. Then again, you can always just wait to meet them yourself when BioShock Infinite releases on October 16 in North America, and October 19 worldwide.
