Xbox One just got a new system update, but you might not notice

Microsoft just flipped the switch on the latest update for Xbox One, though you might not notice the difference if you don't see the install screen. Xbox Live director of programming Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb revealed that the new patch started rolling out as of this morning, focused on "stability and bug fixes."

The Xbox support site goes into slightly greater detail, listing OS version 10.0.10586.1024's "new or updated features" as improvements for the the Edge browser and other "minor bug fixes and improvements." If your Xbox One doesn't start automatically downloading the update you can start the process manually by heading to Settings > All Settings > System.

This update didn't change much on the user side, but Microsoft isn't letting the New Xbox One Experience get all moldy just yet. The company plans to roll out larger updates starting next year, including support for its Cortana voice assistant.
