Two new Xbox 360 holiday bundles for $250

Mircrosoft isn't lettingNintendo have all the holiday discount shopping fun: IGN reports the tech giant today announced two $250 holiday bundles, featuring games and accessories aimed at core gamers as well as families.

The core-gamer centric bundle packs in a 250GB Xbox 360, download codes for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Forza Motorsport 4, a headset, and a wireless controller. The family-friendly bundle includes a 4GB Xbox 360, a Kinect sensor, a wireless controller, Kinect Adventures, and Kinect Disneyland Adventures. Both packs also include a month of Xbox Live, Netflix, Hulu Plus, and Epix Movies.

Sony got in on the holiday hijinks early with its new super-slim PlayStation 3 model and reduced price, though interested parties shouldn't hold their breath for a PS Vita price cut this year.

Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo.
