Bethesda has revealed a list of notable actors lending their voices to Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The cast includes a number of film, stage and television stars who's names and voices should be familiar to fans of Wonder Woman, classic musicals, cult horror films, and frakkin' sci-fi reboots.
Leading the roll call is the award winning stage and TV veteran Christopher Plummer (aka Captain George von Trapp from The Sound of Music) as Arngeir, a Greybeard elder who lives among fellow philosopher monks at the peak of Skyrim's loftiest mountain. He is joined by classic Wonder Woman actress Lynda Carter, who provides the voice for the Nord legend Gormlaith Golden-Hilt; and film icon Max Von Sydow (aka Father Merrin from The Exorcist), who voices a Blades agent named Esbern tasked with teaching players how to take down Alduin, the World Eater.
Other recognizable in Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim's 70-plus voice cast include Michael Hogan (Colonel Saul Tigh from Battlestar Galactica), who plays Imperial General Tullius; Claudia Christian (Susan Ivanova from Bablyon 5), who plays Nord lieutenant Legate Rikke; and former Saturday Night Live actor George Coe.
“It’s been incredible to have all these actors together,” saidSkyrim's game director Todd Howard in today's press release. “When you start a project, you always make your wish-list of actors, and to actually hear them in the game, it’s amazing. We can’t wait for everyone to experience it.”
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will arrive for all to hear and play on November 11 for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
