Tensions are rising around the office which can only mean one thing: the fall game explosion is nearly here. Soon we’ll be playing Skyrim, Modern Warfare 3, Skyward Sword and Assassin’s Creed Revelations all in the same day and doing our best just to keep our heads above water. With so many huge games demanding our attention, it’s not unusual for some titles to get lost in the shuffle, and that includes promising reboots to our favorite franchises. Perhaps with that in mind, Konami has announced that Silent Hill: Downpour, the next entry in its haunting series, has been delayed from November to the first half of 2012.
After some European retailers were listing the game as coming out next year, Konami confirmed that the game is coming out sometime between April and June of next year. We last saw Downpour at Tokyo Game Show, which included a new trailer with the regrettable music choice of Korn. Hopefully this means the game will get some polish, ending up better than had it come out in a couple weeks and was passed over by all but the most faithful fans.
