Ori and the Blind Forest gets news levels, more story, and backtrack support on March 11

Ori and the Blind Forest was one of our favorite games of 2015, and a personal obsession of mine when it came out. So you can imagine how excited I am for Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition, which will be available both as an upgrade and a complete package starting March 11 - one year to the day after the game's initial release date.

Unlike most such editions, Ori and the Blind Forest doesn't compile previously-released DLC or increase the resolution of the game's graphics. Instead, what you'll find here is akin to an expansion; there's new levels, new story exploring the history of Ori's caretaker Naru, new abilities, new difficulty options, and new features like being able to instantly teleport between discovered save wells.

If, like me, you wanted to find and obtain every collectible and hidden item in the game but couldn't due to how story events change the landscape, developer Moon Studios has tweaked that as well. Now you'll be able to hunt and gather to your little heart's content.

If you've already purchased the base version of Ori and the Blind Forest, you'll be able to upgrade for $5 on March 11. If you've yet to experience the game, you can get everything for $20. UK prices were not available at the time of writing.
