New Splatterhouse video: a bloody ballet

We've covered Splatterhouse as much as the next game website, and never to much response. Something about this remake of a so-so arcade and Turbgrafx-16 side-scroller has failed to ignite interest, despite its efforts to out-gore us withtorture porn screenshots.

This new trailer shows us the developer has a bit of a sense of humour: instead of doing an all out death metal haemo-fest, it'sgone for a balletic interpretation of Rick's finishing moves complete with dramatic orchestral music. Only thendoes it go all death metal for the last 20 seconds.

Has it helped? Anyone interested now?

Oh, and what is it withgames using skulls in logos today? Both Blacklight: Tango Down and Splatterhouse in the same day?

Above: These logos will be in our dreams tonight
