It’s been a while since we saw any new Batman v Superman imagery, so imagine our delight to discover a shiny new shot from the set of Zack Snyder’s forthcoming film, featuring Batman in all his brooding glory. Looks like Ben Affleck has got that signature scowl down...
The new shot comes from photographer Clay Enos, the man responsible for shooting the original Batman and Batmobile shot that got us so excited all those months ago. He’s gone for a monochrome style once again here, and it lends a welcome edge to what appears to be the mundane scenario of Batman changing a tyre.
It’s also worth pointing out how bulky Affleck’s Batman is, with his general look lifted directly from the pages of Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns. He might not be quite as trim as Superman, but he’s about ten times as grizzled... and in Gotham, that probably counts for more.
Directed by Snyder and co-starring Henry Cavill, Jesse Eisenberg and Gal Gadot, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will open in the UK and US on March 25 2016.
