Queen Latifah’s Leslie Wright – one of those character names that exists only for a corny title – has a chance encounter with Scott McKnight (Common), charm-schooled star of the New Jersey Nets, though their obvious chemistry gets shunted to the sidelines when McKnight claps eyes on Wright’s drop-dead-gorgeous best friend Morgan (Paula Patton).
But guess what? Apparently, true beauty comes from within. Meh.
