Exclusive John Wick featurette: Meet the directors

Hitman thriller John Wick stormed the box-office in the US, and marked something of an action-hero comeback for star Keanu Reeves. With $73m in the box office already, it's already attracting sequel talk before it's even opened in the UK.

The film stars Reeves as Wick, a retired killer-for-hire who's left his former career behind for a quieter life. After his wife dies, the beagle puppy she leaves him is the only thing helping to pull him through. That's all well and good until Iosef (Alfie Allen), the punk kid of a notorious gangster, steals Wick's car and - as if that wasn't enough - murders said pup too.

And so begins a roaring rampage of revenge, with some of the slickest gun-fighting scenes you'll see this year. First-time directors Chad Stahelski and David Leitch cut their teeth in the stunt business as performers and coordinators, and they worked with Reeves on The Matrix movies. In the exclusive video below, Stahelski and Leitch explain how they became involved with the film, what it was like going from doubling for Reeves to directing him, and more.

John Wick opens in the UK on 10 April 2015.
