Warning: this article contains absolutely MASSIVE SPOILERS for Doctor Strange. Seriously, they're immense. Click away right now if you want to enter the theater knowing nothing.

Details of post-credit scenes are what keep movie fans ticking over until the next  sequel or spin-off. We need them. They're like oxygen to us. However, that doesn't mean we won't hear about them before the movie opens. Doctor Strange is no different. The folks over at ScreenCrush scored intel on the mid- and post-credits scenes, offering surprises even for those who've seen early previews. And boy, are they filled with.... Okay, hang on a sec. Are you ready to have the last part of the film spoiled beyond all recognition? Then let's proceed.

Okay, let's proceed after this glorious Bene-GIF-t.

Mid-credits scene

The middle of the credits will follow on from the Doctor's mission in the movie: to rid our world of mystical threats from other worlds. That includes Asgard's finest warrior, Thor, and Asgard's most irresponsible and manipulative warrior, Loki. Strange invites Thor over to his Sanctum to get the skinny on his pesky brother. Thor obliges. Remember those set pics a while ago that showed Chris Hemsworth holding onto Strange's address? Yep, that'll be the mid-credits scene - and probably not a Strange Ragnarok cameo - they were shooting.

Thor then reveals that he needs his brother to help track down his father, Odin. The last we saw of the real Odin was in 2013's Thor: The Dark World before Loki masqueraded as him and took control of Asgard. So where's Odin been this whole time? Well, Strange isn't a meanie, and says he'll help Thor and Loki track down their papa - if they promise to leave Earth afterwards. This syncs up nicely to the events of Thor: Ragnarok. We've already heard it takes place for the most part off-Earth, and now we know why: it was part of a deal Thor cut with Strange.

Post-credits scene

This one arrives right at the end of the credit reel. We learn earlier in the film that Benjamin Bratt plays a character who uses the same magic that Strange harnesses to heal his own paralysis. That same person appears again here, when he's paid a visit by Baron Mordo.

Mordo, who's been a nice guy this whole time, yanks out the poor guy's powers in a pretty violent manner. His reason? "There are too many sorcerers," he says. Well well, look who turned out to be a bad guy after all! The site explains that throughout the movie, Mordo harbours resentment toward Strange - which, let's face it, we all suspected was the case - and then lets it rip at the end. Will we see more of evil Mordo? If Strange performs well and gets a sequel, that's very likely the case.
