Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will get six more maps as free DLC

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered only comes with 10 out of the original game's 16 multiplayer maps - but it will get the rest later, for free! Activision, Infinity Ward, and Raven Software confirmed at the Call of Duty XP event today that players won't be left without a third of the original map rotation for long.

Granted, you still have to buy one of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare's special editions to play Modern Warfare Remastered (it won't be sold on its own). But you'll only have to wait a month or so after their November 4 release date to play with all of Modern Warfare's original map selection.

I wonder if the Variety Map Pack, which added four new maps to the original Modern Warfare, will also return at some point. Maybe as part of the Infinite Warfare Season Pass?
