Call of Duty Black Ops 2 - New Shoutcasting feature and livestreaming details

Treyarch is making an effort to cater to Call of Duty: Black Ops II's eSports side with the inclusion of a brand new spectator mode called, Shoutcasting. For those unfamiliar with eSports, shoutcasters are the commentators that call the play-by-play of multiplayer game matches. So, with the Shoutcasting feature, players will be able to view matches as a spectator, record their voice-over, and share it with the Black Ops community directly from the game.

Shoutcasting gives you much more than just the average spectator view. You'll have access to a unique user interface that gives you every detail of the match, from individual player stats and loadouts to map overlays that let you see the position of every player on the map. The UI is designed to make it easy to switch between viewing modes. You'll be able to bring up the scoreboard, show the map, toggle between first and third person modes, and display a picture-in-picture states mode all in one button press.

Shoutcasting matches can be streamed live (with a slight delay) which can be viewed online over a web browser or you can recorded your shoutcasting session from theater mode and share. Stay tuned as we gather more details on Black Ops II's Shoutcasting feature in the coming days. In the meantime, you can get more details on the multiplayer in our Call of Duty Black Ops II multiplayer info preview article.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II releases on November 13 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
