Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer comes to 3DS this fall with amiibo cards

Could you now get enough of collecting Bells, making friends, and filling your virtual house with collectibles in Animal Crossing: New Leaf? The game is one of the biggest sellers the 3DS ever saw, so it isn't surprising that another series entry is on the way. But Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer focuses more on staying indoors. And there are a number of real world accessories to deal with too in the form of amiibo cards.

The game is all about the design aspect of the series, tasking players to build the perfect living space for specific characters. And the new, NFC readable amiibo cards will unlock different characters to design for. Working like the figures, but less three dimensional, this first round of amiibo cards will come alongside the 3DS game this fall. And, should you not have a New 3DS but want to use NFC cards, the NFC reader add on will be arriving on the same day. Once you have that, even older models of the handheld will be able to interact with both amiibo and the amiibo cards.
