Where to buy a PS5 in Australia: The new RRP has taken effect, so expect to pay at least AU$919 for a PS5
We're highlighting deals as they appear, but also highlighting the main Aussie PS5 retailers in Australia
Nowadays it's easy to pick up a PS5 console or bundle in Australia, whether you're after the standalone disc or digital version, but getting them cheaper than RRP can sometimes be a challenge.
Things have gotten worse for PS5 bargain hunters, because on March 28 Sony announced a third price hike for all models of the PS5. Starting April 2, 2026, the base PS5 disc model now costs AU$999.95, the PS5 digital model costs AU$919.95, while the PS5 Pro is AU$1,399.95.
By the way, the digital PS5 and the PS5 Pro don't come with a disc drive, so you'll need to buy the Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc Drive for PS5 for AU$124.95 to tack onto the side, if you're lucky enough to find one in stock.
This paints a pretty bleak picture for prospective PS5 owners: a base PS5 now costs AU$250 more than it did when it launched in November 2020. So it's probably more important than ever to keep an eye out for PS5 deals in Australia, and that's what this page is all about.

Current discounts
A steal on this brilliant bundle, which packs a disc edition of the PS5 Slim in with a digital code for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. It's a great way to grab a console and a premier first-person shooter for far less than the standalone RRP on the console. This is the best PS5 deal we've seen since early June, though if you want a PS5 without Call of Duty (perhaps you're buying for a kid) the standalone is also down to AU$699.
If you're looking for a PS5 a bit less than RRP, this discount on the disc Slim is the best going at the moment from a reputable retailer.
Save AU$150.95
It was starting to look like EOFY wouldn't bring any good PS5 console deals, but this one is a stunner: Amazon is offering a decent chunk off this premium PS5 Pro, which as our review reports, is well worth it for hardcore folk who care about pixel count and silky smooth locked framerates. "The PS5 Pro only suits its price tag in niche circumstances, but it does deliver on its promise to improve both graphics and framerates."
Though it was down to AU$699 last month and has gone as low as AU$679, this is still a great price for a PS5 Slim disc model and Astro Bot, especially after the recent PS5 price hike. The total value on this would be AU$938.95 when the RRPs of both bundled items are taken into account, so it's a whopping discount by every measure. It helps a lot that Astro Bot was the best PS5 exclusive of 2024. Yes, it may come to PC some day, but right now, you'll need a PS5 to play it.

Each copy comes with a "buddy pass," so you'll be able to get your friends onboard without their paying a cent.
Call of Duty: Vanguard | AU$119.95 AU$90.95
A tempting AU$24 off the RRP for the latest Call of Duty, which sees Sledgehammer Games tackle World War 2. Come for the cinematic singleplayer, stick around for deathmatch and the usual Zombies affair. Via Amazon.
Returnal | AU$79 (usually AU$124.95)
Housemarque's third-person roguelike is one of those next-gen price hike games, but you don't have to pay AU$125 at launch: Amazon currently has it for AU$79, which is about the best we can find in the weeks leading to release. Via Amazon.
Resident Evil Village | AU$47 (usually AU$109.95)
Ahead of its May launch date, Amazon is hocking Resident Evil Village for considerably less than the RRP of AU$109.95. Hard to say whether that price will shift between now and launch, but from where we're standing it's a damn good price. Via Amazon.
Buy Demon's Souls | AU$68 at Amazon (usually AU$124.95)
Normally, Demon's Souls tends to waver between AU$98 and AU$108 on Amazon, which makes this an exceptional discount. If you haven't got it already, we recommend buying now at this incredibly price.
