Relativity's remake of The Crow may well have found its big bad, with Deadline reporting that Andrea Riseborough will play the villain. The report claims that Riseborough is in advanced negotiations with the studio, although no deal has been confirmed as yet.
The Birdman star has apparently been tapped to play Top Dollar, the leader of the crime syndicate responsible for the death of Eric Draven's girlfriend. Should the casting be confirmed, it would represent something of a departure from the comic-books, in which Top Dollar has always been presented as a male character.
Relativity has been attempting to get the remake off the ground for some time now, although the wheels finally seem to be turning. Corin Hardy is now officially installed as director, while Boardwalk Empire star Jack Huston recently signed on to play Draven. The film is expected to arrive at some point in 2016, with a specific release date to be confirmed.
