Despite the nifty Steam tie-ins with the PS3 version, Valve's not leaving anyone out in the cold entirely when it comes to Portal 2.
Speaking toNOW Gamer, Valve's Chet Faliszeksaid, “...the content that comes out is agnostic, and so we will be seeing that on all the platforms. Depending on the platform you’re on I should say, will depend on how we’re delivering it."
Faliszek also confirmed that the mod tools only appear on the PC. While the announcement of user created mods isn't shocking to PS3 owners who have received user created content in games like Unreal Tournament 3, it is a pleasant surprise to those planning to buy the game on the 360. Microsoft has been reluctant in the past to lift or change their restrictions and requirements on supplemental content. That plus Faliszek's caveat that different platforms would receive content in different ways makes us think that Xbox owners are still going to have to wait longer to receive content than those playing on other platforms.
