Zelda Oracle games coming to 3DS eShop

The Legend of Zelda's twin Oracle games will hit Western 3DS eShops before summer. Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons were developed by Capcom for Game Boy Color in 2001, and have not been re-released since.

NintendoLife spotted comments from Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma on the series' Miiverse community, confirming the linked games which appeared on the Japanese eShop in February will be released in other territories.

The two titles were distinct adventures, employing time travel and season-shifting to solve puzzles. But players who completed one game learned passwords to feed into the next, which would unlock a modified campaign, upgraded gear, and a new ending sequence which wraps up both stories..

We'll let you know when we have a firmer release date than "before summer."

I tried to revisit OoA last year but couldn't focus because I had too many other mobile games going. That may happen again when these release, but that won't stop me from buying them. Quick question: Has anyone who was a 3DS ambassador bought an XL and transferred the ambassador games? I'm considering one but want to know if I could transfer those games.

Can't wait since I never played these.

For someone who never got around to playing Ages, this is fantastic news. I'll pick them both up when they're out (if the price is decent enough, at least).

I remember when they announced it for Japan, good to see we'll get it
