Zach Braff stars in first trailer for Wish I Was Here: watch now

The first teaser trailer has arrived for Wish I Was Here , the crowd-funded feature that marks Zach Braff’s return to directing after a ten-year hiatus.

The new film will star Braff as a struggling thirty-something actor who, with his finances in a fairly wretched state, is forced to home-school his two young children.

Fans of Garden State will welcome back The Shins to the soundtrack, with this latest, near-wordless trailer soundtracked by the indie darlings’ Simple Song .

Take a look at the new trailer, below…

Very recognisably Braff’s oevre then, but for fans of his previous work, this promises to be a real treat. And it features a reunion between JD and Turk!

Directed by Braff and co-starring Kate Hudson, Mandy Patinkin and Josh Gad, Wish I Was Here will open in the UK on 19 September 2014.
