Possession is 100% alive and kicking, from the article:

"Work on Possession is temporarily on hold but only because we've reassigned the team to work on a major new project on PS3 and Xbox 360," said a senior spokesperson for the company.

The game's engine used Natural Motion's Endorphin Engine, a unique and innovative animation system that allowed for game characters to react realistically to their environments and never show the same animation twice.
Possession

From: Volatile
Who did: Reservoir Dogs
And live in: Leamington Spa, UK

With Dead Rising bringing the office to a virtual standstill, our interest in this zombie-flavored horror game has been reignited. We've been assured that it's very much still on and it's only protracted negotiations with potential publishers that's holding up the unveiling process.

The twist here is that instead of battling zombie hordes, you actually control them... "you" being The Enslaver, a mutated ...
Here's one Blitz Games product you won't find packaged in with your Burger King meal: Possession, which casts you as The Enslaver, a flakey-faced zombie with the power to command his army of equally undead buddies. And guess what? He's pissed off.

And here's what he's going to do about it: take down the Prometheus Corporation - the mysterious company which manufactured the chemicals that turned him and his friends into intelligent zombies. In practice this means directing your cohorts around ...

CVG learns two new versions of the Xbox 360 controller are doing the developer rounds

Speaking this afternoon to CVG, Konami's PES producer Shingo 'Seabass' Takatsuka has revealed he's currently in possession of two new Xbox 360 controllers and is playing around with them at the PES HQ.

Microsoft sent Seabass the two controllers to allow him to test re-mapped button configurations for PES, the best footy game in town, presumably to make the game as playable on an Xbox 360 pad as it is on the PS2.

It's no secret that the best pad to play Pro Evolution Soccer on is Sony's classic Dual Shock.

This also ties in nicely to previous reports that Microsoft has a unique FPS pad in testing for Xbox 360 too.
Currently in construction by euro-developer Blitz, Possession blends realtime strategy with zombies - the twist being that players actually get to take charge on the undead.

As the Enslaver, your goal is to destroy an entire city using an army of the undead built from its inhabitants. Blitz is promising "carnage at all costs" across the "free-form and reactive city. How you choose to destroy it is up to you." Sounds good to us.

No doubt we'll be seeing more of Possession at E3 but for now, ...
Scooping up a fleeing human with giant, gnarly hands and shaking him as a cat plays with a dazed mouse, before grabbing each leg and tugging him in half. His body rips into two lumps of meat and his legs snap like a chicken wishbone. Aren't games just ace?

Possession enables the player to control a whole army of up to 300 undead zombies, as they tear into and annihilate the forces of good - the cops, security guards, armed forces and citizens plucky enough to dare to fight back. All are ...
