Gamertell is reporting that Mcfarlane's next round of Halo action figures will be available in stores October 20, 2009.

The company will be releasing two lines - 6-inch Medal Edition and 4-inch Odd Pod figures - which will both include "The Rookie" from Halo 3: ODST and other Halo 3 characters.

Bungie says it has a 'six-year plan' for the Halo series, which will cumulate in all novel, anime and game canon tying together.

"We do have a plan that goes out at least six years," creative director, Frank O'Conner told USA Today. "Eventually, it will become very apparent that there is a plan for the way the canon all ties together and the way the comic books and the novels all tie together."

The M12 'Warthog' LRV is an A-reg 1984 Land Rover Defender 110, rescued from the GumTree 4×4 yard before its eventual scrapping due to MoT failure. Rebuilt by Props Studios, the vehicle has been fitted with an entirely new body and lifted suspension, along with as a heap of other modifications. It's thought that the vehicle will arrive in London in full working order.

It contains a 120GB Xbox 360 Elite, controller (curiously, not an ODST controller), a copy of Halo 3: ODST, a copy of Halo 3 and access to the Halo: Reach beta.

It's due later this month, and so far, has only been announced for PAL territories, with prices ranging from €280 in continental Europe (USD$410) to 4,228 Rand in South Africa (USD$574).

Three mega super ultra jam-packed days of nonstop show floor Firefightin', a whirlwind meet and greet with all kinds of Bungie community peeps, super secret, pizza-filled after hours studio stuff that wasn't all that secret (but was, in fact, pizza-filled), and tens of thousands of well-dressed ladies and gentleman from all around the globe descending on Seattle to get their filthy, virus-laden hands on anything and everything that had to do with gaming. Oh, and there were a few booth babes sauntering around too.

Our Firefight stations were a pretty big hit if we don't say so ourselves. The little roped-off nook was bursting with players from start to finish with wait times rarely dipping below the one hour mark. Even as each day wound down, the lines stayed long, and since letting things dwindle down naturally would have resulted in a never ending expo, the sour-faced PAX Enforcers had to step in and shear the line off prematurely."

Microsoft has moved to reassure fans concerned about how the company's new motion sensing technology, Natal, will be incorporated into Halo, saying it will feature "when it makes sense".

Speaking to VideoGamer.com, Alex Cutting, producer on Halo 3: ODST from Microsoft Game Studios, said: "A lot of people are interested in what Natal's presence in Halo's going to be. We are committing to only doing it when it makes sense. We are not going to produce a gimmicky feature that just takes advantage of motion controls when it doesn't feel right.

Halo is Microsoft's "centre piece" franchise. That's according to Alex Cutting, producer on Halo 3: ODST from Microsoft Game Studios.

With the looming release of Bungie's Halo 3: ODST, Halo is back in the spotlight. And Cutting told VideoGamer.com that Halo is still massively important to Microsoft.

"Halo is our bread and butter," he said.

"It is a centre piece for us. We will invest in Halo as much as we can to make sure it's a healthy, respected, fun franchise, and we will continue to do so."

Microsoft invests in Bungie as developer of the Halo games because "they spend more time polishing gameplay" than any other studio.

That's according to Alex Cutting, producer on Halo 3: ODST from Microsoft Game Studios.

He said: "Bungie is an awesome partner. They say this a lot, and I believe it, they make the games they want to play.

"What's cool about Halo games is, you can be a year out from their actual street date, and the game's playable. People are actually playing the game at that point. We can watch people play, and we can get 60 people's feedback on just one experience in that game and polish that thing and hone it until it's triple A quality."
