Atari's Bullet Witch Goes Gold (News)

Atari today announced that development is complete on the neo-apocalyptic action adventure game Bullet Witch. Published in partnership with Japanese publisher AQ Interactive Inc., Bullet Witch is on schedule to ship to stores in North America on February 27th for the Xbox 360 and will be available for a suggested retail price of $49.99.

Atari today announced their new releasedates for december 2006 and 2007. Most interesting is probably Alone in the Dark 4, the game is coming for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and good old Playstation 2 in March 2007.

Developed by Japan-based Cavia, Bullet Witch is set on a bleak planet earth in the year 2013 with human kind on the brink of extinction and hideous demons creating a tidal wave of destruction and havoc. All hope of mankind's survival rests with Alicia, a witch blessed with magical skills and a swift trigger finger.

Inspired by American horror and Japanese fantasy monsters, Bullet Witch combines shooting and magic while taking advantage of Xbox 360's advanced physics engine to showcase massive environmental damage, explosions and destruction.

One of the main features of Bullet Witch is the different spell you can perform on the fly. All you need to do is to press the Right or Left Bumper to access the spell HUD and then press once more the bumpers to rotate through each of the 3 spell HUD rings.

The game is developed by the Japanese company AQ Interactive. It is well received on the Japanese market, Atari bought the rights to release it for Europe and the USA.

Last year, AQ Interactive introduced itself to the industry as a publisher and for its entrance it announced three new titles, all of which will be published for the Xbox 360. One of those game is Bullet Witch.

Bullet Witch is an action adventure that as the title suggests mixes two genres, third-person shooting and adventure.

Set in the year 2013, Bullet Witch tells the story of a fight for survival between humans and demons. The game mixes realistic settings with fantasy elements. You play as a witch named Alicia. The game is scheduled for release this year in Japan and it is currently at 80% in development.

Bullet Witch Delayed...Again (News)

Another day, another delay for the Xbox 360's Bullet Witch. This game was supposed to be released in Japan on July 13th, which is two weeks later than the original release date. Now, the official Bullet Witch site reports another two week delay that moves the release date to July 27th.

Developer AQ Interactive expresses their regrets for this additional delay to their fans.
