Watch Robin in action in new Batman: Arkham City video

While some foolish fans might think Robin is lame, that just proves they haven’t been reading Batman comics for the last 20 years. For the preceding two decades Robin has been less useless Boy Scout and more teenage ass kicker with loner tendencies. Though we must admit we can’t think of the Tim Drake version of Robin, the same one as in the video, ever being this tough on criminals in the comics. As the trailer shows, the Robin of Batman: Arkham City is playing for keeps.

After seeing the more hardcore looking Robin with his shaved head, we imagined he’d be a more visceral Robin like in this trailer, more in the style of Damian Wayne, the current holder of the title. Perhaps that’s why he borrowed Damian’s hood. By the way, the offer for Robin in the US is only good with preorders from Best Buy, not GameStop like in the country this video originates from. And that’s one to grow on.

I'm really inclined to keep my Gamestop pre-order. I find it hard to believe that they wouldn't eventually release Robin. I'm not so sure about the Batman skins though.

The video shows preorder from Gamestop at the end which is incorrect. To receive Robin you must preorder from Best Buy.

Can't wait until they release this as Paid DLC. Because, you know, pre-built characters included in game code should definitely cost extra money?

Yeah Pyroco101, I'm pretty sure that you'll eventually be able to get the "Gamestop Content" by way of DLC. On a side note/rant, the day Gamestop is no longer successful at cutting their little backroom deals for additional exclusive content, their days are numbered.

Damnit! Why do they have to restrict content like this? I'm not paying £40 on release day when Steam will sell it for £9.99 within the first few months. They better not do the same with Catwoman. Though, considering the hype surrounding her in the DC Universe (her last comic sold out in two hours), it wouldn't surprise me. I can't help but notice that Arkham City isn't on Steam yet. This concerns me.

There's no PC Collector's Edition either. I'm sad.

What is the best Pre order bonus DLC for this game, I am so confused! Tesco- Joker carnival Challenge Map Game - Robin playable character (as in the video) Gamestop (UK) - has the coolest skin in my view The rest I think have Batman skills aswell? What does everybody reckon becuase I want to pre-order?
  • jackthemenace - October 6, 2011 9:37 a.m.

I'll get it from wherever they're giving away Nightwing, which I reckon'll possibly be Play.com.Although, odds are any playable character or skin will be released later as DLC, like everyone else is complaining about.

@Pyroco101: There were always legit processes on every home console and PC other than the Wii because Nintendo is online illiterate.

As much as I dislike Robin, that Animated Series skin looks pretty cool. Since they've included "Dark Knight Returns" skin for Batman they should have also had Robin's "Teenage Girl Robin on Rollerskates" costume.

Pyroco101: there are actually legit processes now :( i REALLY want that "batman beyond" costume...

Aren't most preorder bonuses just codes you can find anywhere on the internet? Or do they have a legit process for this now. I'm a WiiC owner, and the best I got was the collector's edition of The Conduit where the codes like the "Suit" skin in multiplayer was literally "MPSUIT."
