Greetings men, women and intelligent cats who have learned to read but are keeping quiet until the right moment for an uprising presents itself - welcome to another episode of TalkRadar UK. 

Episode 88 sees the return of gallivanter-in-chief, Justin who returns from his holidays packing the usual flat jokes that he's become famed for. There's a lot of chatter about Portal 2 in which Dave and Nathan try - and fail - not to spoil it for Towell. There's the news bit where the men discuss the Xbox 720 rumour and Activision's poisoned chalice, the James Bond license. We read through your answers to Question of the Week - If you couldn't play videogames for a month what would you do with your time? - and answer your burning queries sent to the GamesRadar Hotline.

There's also an incredible amount of other game-related talk packed into the one hour, 22 minutes and 16 seconds that the show lasts. Come take a listen. If nothing else, it'll take your mind off worrying about the imminent attack from our feline overlords.

    Too bad Matt Cundy wasn't on this episode, always a bonus when he makes his Towelly jokes. Other than that, another great TR UK episode.

    it is an interesting topic the psn outage, funny thing is people are so fast to condemn based on a free service, ok for psn+ and people with card details on there, but i read master card etc confirmed all details were double encrypted.What i find amazing is stores like gamestation shameless capitalising on this, massive A boards outside their shops saying sick of psn being down, trade your ps3 and get an xbox ! with all their prices etc, truth be told alot of sad people are selling the ps3 console i think its an over reaction, if your electric windows in your car stopped working you wouldn't sell your car.The product still works just one feature is not working for a temporary amount of time. That's not to say its not annoying, but seriously play some single player games, or go out side the weather is nice ! Funny thing is Xbox live went down for 3-4 days starting with Christmas day of course subscribers were given extensions to their service but these guys didn't run into game shops to trade in the xbox consoles. I find it amazing that xbox users can go through so many consoles due to hardware fault and not have a single word said against their machine, if you bought a new TV and it went wrong in 2 months, you had it replaced twice or even 3 times you would then switch brands but not xbox customers, i work in a games shop and one of our customers has had 12 xbox consoles and he will not have a bad work said against MS. This just doesn't make any sense to me at all, one reason i would like psn back online is so the childish xbox fanboys can stop coming in and talking about it like they have won something ! I knew ps3's were shit ! The thing about online is this, why would anyone put their actual details online? i never register with my own name or outlook email address, i used psn vouchers or xbl points, if i do buy online i have to use my real details but you could get identity fraud filling up with petrol and this is what i think people need to remember and put things into context. Sony really need to use this opportunity to come back stronger and introduce some new features to psn, google chrome for a browser, an actual party system.I also think sony should have just hired that hottz guy, to help with their obvious security issues and to have stopped him doing that awful rap he did.

    good podcast, i cant see any new real next gen systems coming out soon, i don't include Nintendo as they are always behind 1 generation and living off 10 year old franchises. Simply profiting from grown ups nostalgia which i never buy into, even if its fun, i can live in the past with Nintendo. I have to disagree with unreal engine leading the way, all the dudes look like fukin steriod abusing shiny lunatics ! when unreal is used its stands out a mile. Gears of war all massive American football players with giant legs,feet plus the colours are awful and the shiny tinge the engine has it not a good luck in my view. I love batman but even commissioner Gordon was a 70 year old ripped bastard! However i was impressed with that new unreal tech demo, which did look like a big improvement. Also did anyone see the crash bandicoot demo powered by cry engine amazing ! I would like to see MS create some new IPs as they only have gears 3 and forza, possible crytek exclusive. I cant stand to see another halo game, for me even with sonys woes they have such a fresh line up of new exclusives and diverse games, star hawk looks crazy and uncharted 3 will do surely deliver great gameplay story etc.

    Started listening recently and love every second! I've gone and downloaded every episode and watched it with all my ears while I'm at work. Thanks guys, you are awesome! I visit GR every day thanks to you and the the US team. Just wondering though, I recognise Nath from PSM2. Was PSM once Playstation Power? One of the first mags I bought was Playstaion Power with a Final Fantasy 8 review on the cover. I think PSM may have been a direct continuation of Power, I've still got the Rollcage Cd supplied with the mag. Again cheers for the amazingly hilarious and informative podcast. I'll listen for as long as you can be arsed to make it, Aid

    I come for Dave's basically, literally and essentially and I stay for Cundy's turning the podcast wrong. Not that I don't love Nathan and Towelly as well but I cant show any Man U fan love at the moment and Towell has sabotaged the last two podcasts by forgetting the phone and QoTW :p WE LOVE YOU TOWELLLYYY Cheers for the hard work guys

    I went to comment on the talkradar 150 page. While I'm at it, I might as well come to this section to say how much I also appreciate the UK version too. Know that you are listened to in France. Also, making fun of French is not racist, it's habit. And it goes both ways. Keep it up ! You make my driving to work fun. So much so in fact, that I (nearly) missed going to work during the holidays in order to listen to the show.
