Stunning, full-length Epic Mickey intro vid is good enough to be a new Disney movie

There are game trailers, there are good game trailers, and then there are game trailers we'd happily buy on DVD even if there was no game on the disc to accompany them. The full-length cut of Epic Mickey's epic intro movie is one of the latter.

Chris has already splurged his geek-load all over the the truncated cut, which was released a couple of weeks ago and came packing a mighty cliff-hanger. And he splurged with good reason, because if you have even a passing interest in Disney, great animation, or just amazing things that make you happy, that there video is essential watching.

But now the full-length, six minute, fifty-one second version has arrived. The additional 2:19 is the best part of the whole thing, upping the darkness, invention, and hardcore Disney-love as a trident of must-watch brilliance. We want developer Junction Point to start making new Mickey shorts when the game is done.

The more Disneyphilic amongst you will already be whooping with joy that the video's delicious new creepiness comes by way of The Mad Doctor, the antagonist of one of the best Mickey shorts of all time. The attention to that cartoon's details, right down to strap-down table and robo-death-machine in the ceiling is spot-on. Friends, this bodes very well for the authenticity of this game, as well as the creativity and all-out cool it's going to bring. We're excited, but are you? Watch the original Mad Doctor short for a taste of where Epic Mickey is going, and then tell us.

Spector better deliver the goods with this game. It'll probably the last Wii game I buy before Skyward Sword.

That Mad Doctor cartoon was pretty okay, I guess... Know what it could've used thought? Some BlaM!! "Whoa!! They took your dog bro! Looks like that doc's gonna cut his lamenary artery!! Or should I say...BLAMENERY ARTERY!!!" Alos, you can't have a skeleton spider because spiders only have an exoskeleton, so TECHNICALLY...That's not correct.

What's the significance of November 18? It seems to have a scene of one of the Disney works with Mickey in it. I thought it might have been the release date for the game (perhaps the original fall release date), but it seems like the game is now coming out in winter.

The Disney nerd in me is bursting with joy right now.
