Sony discontinues MotorStorm PS3 bundle

Sony has confirmed that the 80GB PlayStation 3 MotorStorm bundle is no longer being supplied to retailers.

"Retailers aren't getting any new inventory of the 80GB MotorStorm bundle," the company said in a statement issued toJoystiq.

Sony is not discontinuing the 80GB PS3 entirely though, instead switching its focus to newer titles. A new 80GB bundle featuring a copy of Metal Gear Solid 4 and a DualShock 3 controller will be released in North America on June 12 to coincide with the game's release.

A limited-edition "Gun Metal Gray" PS3 MGS4 bundle will also be made available exclusively through Konami's website.
